Who we are
URBank is hosted and financially supported by the Department of Coevolution of Land-use and Urbanisation at the Max Planck Institute of Geoanthropology in Jena, Germany.
The project is led by Prof. Dr. Patrick Roberts, and currently being developed by Dr. Christopher Carleton, in collaboration with an international advisory board.

The collaborative advisory team was formed through a working group supported by the Amerind Foundation, the Center for Archaeological Synthesis, and the Center for Collaborative Synthesis in Archaeology at the University of Boulder (Colorado). This network brings together global experts to advise on URBank’s development, ensure scientific rigor, and maximize the potential for real-world utility.
